Afternoon Tea - First Thursday in every month (except January), 2pm–4pm. £2.00. Come along for tea & cakes and chat.
     (
On May 2nd the hall will be used for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections so there will not be a Tea in May.  Instead there will be an extra one on April 25th.)

COVID-19 : local rules, information and infection metrics

The government has removed remaining domestic restrictions in England.
There are however still steps you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19:

  • Get vaccinated and get your booster dose
  • Recommendation to wear a face covering in most indoor public places and on public transport, although not mandatory by law
  • Let fresh air in if you meet indoors - meeting outdoors is safer

Check if you are eligible for COVID-19 vaccine:

Residents who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Cheshire West and Chester are encouraged to book their appointment.  Everyone aged 12 and over in England can now book their coronavirus vaccination, following a recent announcement.  [Note that some walk-in COVID-19 vaccination sites are offering the vaccine to people aged 16 and 17.  PRESS HERE to check if a site is available near you.]   Vaccines are free and safe and available to all over the age of 12 - PRESS HERE to learn more.

As the COVID-19 vaccination programme progresses in the borough, people from a number of priority groups are invited to come forward.  The groups currently being offered the COVID-19 vaccination in the borough include:

  • people aged 18 and over
  • people who are a main carer for someone at high risk
  • frontline health and social care workers
  • people who are clinically extremely vulnerable
  • people with a learning disability
  • people who have a condition that puts them at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)

Residents who are eligible can book an appointment at www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination where they can choose a time slot and location that suits them. People who are eligible, but without online access, can call 119 to book a vaccination between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week. Vaccination appointments can also be booked on behalf of people they care for if they are unable to do it themselves.
