OP LAWMAKER – E‑Scooter Seizure

Roads Policing Officer seized an e‑scooter this afternoon as part of Operation Lawmaker.

PCSO Michelle and PCSO Lee were on hand to safely transport the seized e‑scooter to Bowers Garage for secure storage.

Did you know?

Privately owned e‑scooters are classed in law as motor vehicles

This means they must meet the same legal requirements as a car or motorbike, including:

Insurance

A valid driving licence

Tax

MOT (where applicable)

As privately owned e‑scooters cannot currently be insured for use on public roads or pavements, they are illegal to use in these areas.

As a result, e‑scooters can be seized in the same way as an uninsured motor vehicle.

FOUND PROPERTY – WEAVERHAM

Some power tools have been found at the side of the road in Weaverham. These may have been left out for scrap, or they could have been misplaced or lost.

If you are missing any garden power tools, please check your sheds, garages, and outbuildings.

If you believe these items may belong to you, please message me or contact me on:
