Stay Safe Online – Avoid Scams

Criminals create fake websites and target social media, auction sites, and marketplaces. They also impersonate delivery companies to steal money and personal details.

Protect your accounts:

  • Turn on 2-step verification (2SV).

Shopping tips:

  • Check if offers are genuine and read reviews.
  • Never pay by bank transfer; use a credit card if possible.
  • Avoid saving card details; check out as a guest.

Delivery scams:

  • Verify messages or calls directly via official websites or apps.
  • Do not click on unexpected links.
