Russell Smith was instrumental in the launch of the village website 10 years ago and has led the team responsible for updating it ever since. He has volunteered hundreds of hours of his time to ensure that the website is always up-to-date and relevant, providing an immensely useful resource for everyone. The judges felt that Russell’s significant contribution to the local community made him a very worthy winner.
Sid volunteers at Cuddington & Sandiway Youth Club, where he works tirelessly in support of others and to make sure everyone feels welcome and included. This year, Sid was instrumental in the Youth Club securing a grant for their Summer of Sport programme, giving up hours of his time and pushing himself out of his comfort zone.
The judges felt Sid to be a worthy winner for his sustained efforts throughout the year, topped off with gaining this significant grant.
Noah Mulligan and Rafe Hulme for organising the collection of 100 Easter Eggs from their fellow pupils at Cuddington Primary School to donate to the Mid Cheshire Food Bank. The judges were impressed by their generosity and teamwork.
