From Monday 26th April – Sunday 2nd May Cheshire Constabulary will be supporting the national campaign to take knives off our streets. I have engaged with Weaverham High School to arrange a knife awareness presentation.

This week I have attended Petty Pool college to discuss student concerns, answering questions whilst building stronger policing relationships and to deliver a County Lines awareness presentation to staff discussing OCG’s, cuckooing, gangs and awareness signs.

I have also attended Weaverham Primary Academy to deliver a stranger danger presentation to both primary and year 1 children. The children and I discussed what is a stranger, what a stranger looks like, always tell a safe adult if a stranger talks to you and never take anything from a stranger and to say NO.

Speed enforcement has been conducted on

Station Road highest recorded speed being 32 mph
Hill Top Road highest recorded speed being 34 mph
Milton Rough highest recorded speed being 29 mph

School parking has been conducted outside Weaverham Primary Academy, Cuddington Primary school and Weaverham High School. Words of advise given to motorist driving over yellow lines to park.

Following reports of parking obstructions I have patrolled Keepers Lane, Rowan Lane, Hawthorn Road, Walnut Avenue, Station Road and Gleave Road.

ASB patrol has been made at Lakehouse field, Bottom Pitch meadow, Owley Wood, Northwich shops, Lime Avenue shops, Wallerscote Road shops, Boundary Lane park, Sandiway Library. Pleased to report all appeared in order.

Patrol around the quarry has been made this week while taking in the scenic views and the wooded area of Valley Lane. Both locations were in order. Further patrols to be made.

Please be aware of the latest HMRC scam where victim was informed their national insurance contributions had been stopped and the police would be attending to make their arrest. Bogus callers that have been active in our ward. Please be vigilant and report any unwanted door to door traders. PC CUPPLES has been out and about within our ward this week engaging with vulnerable persons.
