Free Cycle Training Available over the Summer Holidays
In addition to the adult and family cycle training on offer, Cheshire West and Chester Council have a week of holiday courses for children:
The level 1 & 2 training is aimed at our current year 6 children who have missed out on the training this academic year and are moving to high school in September.
The Learn to Ride sessions are for 6+ year olds in preparation for their Bikeability training in primary school.
The following courses are still available:
Level 1 & 2: - Tuesday 24 August, Neston Community Youth Centre, Burton Road, Neston CH64 9RE - Friday 27 August, The Tennis Pavilion, Castle Park, Fountain Lane, Frodsham WA6 6SB
Learn to Ride: - Wednesday 25 August, St Theresa’s Parish Centre, 8 Blacon Avenue, Chester CH1 5BU
All training can be booked through the on line booking link: PRESS HERE to access.
We believe the Summer holidays will be an ideal time for Families to complete their training.
Also, as a reminder, Adult Cycling sessions are available to new and existing commuters covering basic, urban and advanced commuter skills . We are hoping to increase the number of cycling commuters and school students to help with congestion, reduce carbon footprint and health.
Family cycle training sessions are for up to 6 people from one family and at least one trainee must be an adult. Please be aware that where groups have very different ages or abilities, instructors need to pace training to suit the least able. In most cases, all trainees will need to have a bicycle of their own.
