Make your Opinion Count in Local Planning Decisions

The most recent stage of the Neighbourhood Plan development has been the Formal Consultation, Regulation 15 of the General Regulations (2012) and the publication of the responses to that consultation (Regulation 16).

Cheshire West and Chester Council are now taking the Neighbourhood Plan through its examination stage, (Regulation17). This will eventually lead to a referendum in which you will have the opportunity to vote to accept the Neighbourhood Plan.

The Plan reflects the comments, observations and concerns raised by the residents of the Parish about its future, gathered in consultation processes that have been carried out over the past two and a half years. Evidence had also been gathered during the development of a Village Plan from 2013 to 2015. It also aims to reflect the relevant policies in the Cheshire West and Chester Local Plan and the National Planning Policies.

Neighbourhood plans provide a very powerful support to Parish and Borough Councils when planning decisions are being made.

How to read the plan

The main document is in the first folder below, and you should start with that but there are a number of other documents in the Key Documents and Consultation / Evidence folders which show the information that has been gathered and used in creating the plan.

The responses to the Regulation 15 Formal Consultation can be found on the Cheshire West and Chester website at:

The most recent correspondence on the plan is in the folder “Correspondence Reg16 and NP Examination”.  This correspondence includes the Parish Council response to the consultees and to the points of clarification raised by the examiner.

The Parish Council would like to thank the Steering Group and the residents who have contributed to the development of this plan.
